Should I tell anyone my package or not?

Very common question right? Tell me, If you would like it if someone asks you this question?

As per my opinion, there are three things we should not tell anyone :

1. Package
2. Love life
3. Next move

You shouldn’t open it with everyone except your family. Yeah, a lot of times I also share it with my dearest friends and that’s okay because sometimes we feel good when we share. As we know “Sharing is caring”. But when it comes to package, you shouldn’t be too frank. This is something private right? Then keep it private. Let me tell you something about my experience but before that, I am not sure if everyone will agree with that or not. It depends on person to person.

For example- If someone asks you about your package and 15lpa is your reply… what will be his/her reaction on this? If he/she earns more than or less than you there is the possibility that they feel gloomy. Maybe they will get pinched in themselves, why I ain’t at that stage? Am I not earning well? You think is it a good thing? No, right!

So it is much better that we must keep these kind of things with ourselves. Let us think this in a positive way, maybe you get even encouraged by the other person to earn more & increase our level. But what if they feel shallow by us? Even if we don’t want to intentionally make them feel like that. We can’t judge how they feel in themselves. So why take a risk.

It is always better to encourage others by our betterment, progress, awards, etc, and not with your package/money. It’s a common thing that you shouldn’t ask anyone’s package or salary. Especially when a person is not close to you. We shouldn’t make them feel embarrassed by asking this question. Even if someone asks you then you can reply as -

1. Yes! I am earning but not too much, for now, it is fine.
2. My basic needs are getting fulfilled.
3. Not much, I am still trying to increase my level at my best.
